X5
The latest BMW X5 adds to the appeal of its predecessors with new platform engineering that sees a significant tech upgrade to infotainment and safety systems, but also brings improvements to practicality and design. The X5’s styling is crisp and contemporary, with a luxurious interior that moves the game on considerably in the latest BMW style.
There are limited engine choices, but each version delivers admirable performance and efficiency. The addition of an Off Road package brings an extra dimension to the X5 as well, although the focus is still very much on-road handling and performance.
The origional was launched way back in 1999, which was notable for helping to popularise the concept of an SUV with four-wheel drive and a chassis set up exclusively for swift road use.
There are two trim levels to pick from. The xLine comes with
19-inch alloys, LED headlights and tail-lamps, air suspension and luxuries such
as heated leather seats, parking assist and wireless phone charging. M Sport
spec features 20-inch alloys, M Sport brake calipers and blacked-out trim, an M
aerodynamics pack, sporty steering wheel and anthracite headliner. Different
types of X5’s to ideally suit different people.
5 Series
The BMW 5 Series has always been highly commendable and rarely matched, offering supreme comfort, cutting-edge interiors and entertaining rear-wheel-drive dynamism.
The 5 Series is also popular because offers lots of choice, and now even more than ever before. For a start, there are saloon and estate bodies, four-cylinder Diesel engines that include mild hybrid technology, gruntier six-cylinder diesels, smooth six-cylinder petrols, the option of BMW’s xDrive four-wheel-drive system as well as plug-in hybrids. The vast range of choice ensures the car’s competition is always looking to reach the level of the 5 Series and compete with its versatility.
The diesel version gives supreme driving supremecy,
whilst the petrol gives raw power and performance, however if you want the best
of both worlds, there is the option of the plug in hybrid which teams a
2.0-litre petrol engine with an electric motor to increase fuel-efficiency and
reduce emissions. Many options to choose from in combination with supreme
comfort and excellent performance makes this motor a desirable one.
